Weddings on Parrot Cay
Parrot Cay can arrange small, intimate weddings for up to eight guests (including the bride and groom). If you wish to have a large group, a buy-out of the resort may be possible depending on availability and the time of year.
Parrot Cay will work with you to reserve your dates; plan the schedule of events; and coordinate the music, photography, food and beverage details, and any other services you may require for your wedding.
To assist you, we have provided information to help you plan your special day. This includes the documentation you will need to arrange prior to your arrival in order to be married in the Turks and Caicos Islands as well as some other general information.
Should you have any other special requests, Parrot Cay will gladly assist in arranging these for your wedding day. However, we suggest you inform the resort of any special requirements prior to your arrival at Parrot Cay to ensure that your wedding day will be a day to remember.
Following is a list of the documentation required for marriage in the Turks and Caicos Islands*:
1. Marriage license application form (3 pages), which must be handwritten by the couple upon their arrival.
2. Copies of both parties’ birth certificates.
3. Copies of both parties’ passports.
4. If single – a search of the registry in the country/state where you reside stating that there is no record of a previous marriage AND a sworn affidavit stating that you are single and have not been married previously. This affidavit and testimony must be notarized, stating that you are single and free to marry, and that no marriage has been registered before.
5. If divorced – copies of your divorce decree.
6. If widowed – copies of the deceased spouse’s death certificate and a certified copy of the marriage certificate for the deceased spouse and the declarant.
7. Copies of your Turks and Caicos Islands immigration slip (which will be given to you upon entry into the country).
8. The maximum number of people we can accommodate is eight.
*All copies of documents must be notarized or certified (except application forms). They will be notarized once you arrive on Parrot Cay at a cost of $20 per page.
In order to be married in the Turks and Caicos Islands, you must arrive at least 72 hours prior to the wedding time. Parrot Cay will coordinate the legal procedures, and it will take a couple of business days to process your documentation. Your marriage license application can only be processed during working days (Monday through Friday) as the government office is closed every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday.
The fees are $100 for the marriage license, $20 for the marriage certificate, and $450 for the pastor. Please note that there is also a $50 FedEx fee for sending the marriage certificate to you. All documents must be notarized by a justice of the peace of the Turks and Caicos. The fee is $20 per sheet.
Parrot Cay will work with you to reserve your dates; plan the schedule of events; and coordinate the music, photography, food and beverage details, and any other services you may require for your wedding. This also includes the set-up of your ceremony at your chosen location. The fee for the above services is $1500.
As for flowers, Parrot Cay works with a florist on Providenciales who is able to supply basic flowers such as White Casablanca Lilies, Stargazer Lilies, Calla Lilies, and Birds of Paradise. They do not have a lot of tropical flowers available. If you require a specific type of flower, please advise Parrot Cay in advance so that the resort may be able to source the flowers. Should you have a picture of floral decorations or the flower bouquet that you wish to have; the florist will be happy to assist.

The resort pastry chef will be happy to create a beautiful wedding cake in the flavor and design of your preference. If you have a picture of a special cake you wish to have, the resort will be happy to assist you. Special wedding cakes (2 or 3 layers) start at $200.
The executive chef and kitchen team will be happy to assist you in creating a sumptuous menu for your wedding dinner. Parrot Cay prides itself on a unique and extensive array of cuisine to choose from: Asian, Mediterranean and our Shambhala Spa menu. Alternately, the resort can design a custom menu for you and your guests’ dining requirements.
Location(s) for Ceremony and/or Reception
The resort has several locations that you may choose from: the boardwalk to the beach or, should you choose to rent a beach house or villa for the duration of your stay, in front of your beach house/villa. These locations can be shown to you upon your arrival at Parrot Cay.
The boardwalk has a breathtaking view at sunset. It is a narrow bridge that connects the swimming pool area to beach. The end of the boardwalk is a perfect place for a wedding ceremony, with the sounds of the ocean and a view of the sunset.
Dining at the Villa/Beach House
Celebrate with friends and family poolside at your private two- or three-bedroom villa. A buffet or plated dinner/lunch can be served by your own private waiter; and a bar set-up can be prepared upon request. A private chef is also available upon request to prepare a barbeque or a romantic dinner in your villa.
Cost for waiter service is $250, and a private chef is $350.
This is a screened cottage overlooking the beautiful wetlands that can be decorated with many candles and tropical flowers. Shambhala Cottage is the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two or an intimate dinner for up to eight people. Play your favorite CD during dinner while a dedicated waiter serves your dinner course by course.
Rental cost, including service, is $350 (excluding food and beverage).
The resort tiki huts overlook the infinity pool and beach, and are suitable for a romantic dinner for two. Enjoy the wide selections of Asian cuisine from the Lotus Restaurant and Shambhala Spa menu. A dedicated waiter will serve your dinner course by course.
The rental cost, including service, is $250 (excluding food and beverage).
The main dining room serves Mediterranean cuisine and selections from the Shambhala Spa menu. The restaurant’s outdoor terrace overlooks the ocean. The resort can arrange your reception either indoors or outdoors. You can have a special table if you would prefer to have an intimate dinner without booking the entire restaurant.
Located poolside, overlooking the ocean, the outdoor Lotus Restaurant serves Asian Cuisine and the Shambhala Spa menu. Enjoy a cocktail at the pool bar while listening to the sounds of the ocean. The resort can arrange a special table if you prefer to have an intimate dinner without booking the entire restaurant.

Parrot Cay does not have a hairdresser on the resort. However, there are beauty salons on Providenciales, which is approximately 40 minutes away by our boat, plus a five-minute car ride. A hairdresser may be able come to Parrot Cay at an additional cost.
You are required to have two witnesses – one female and one male. Parrot Cay can provided the witnesses if required at no additional cost.
For your listening pleasure, the resort’s own local musician can provide entertainment. Choose from jazz, guitar, classical and more. If you have a favorite song, you may also request it. Pricing starts at $1350 for the ceremony and reception.
Linens and Tabletop Décor
Parrot Cay resorts offer basic linens, cutlery, china and glassware for all banquet tables. Linens or décor in special colors, patterns, or designs may be brought with you if you have something specific in mind.

If you prefer a non-professional photographer, one of the resort staff members can take some photographs for you. If necessary, Parrot Cay can also provide someone to operate your video camera.
